In its ninth year, the Digital Entrepreneur Awards are dedicated to internet entrepreneurialism and are hotly contested throughout the world of technology. The prestigious judging panel included Peter Salmon (Director of the BBC), Herb Kim (Founder of Thinking Digital), Tom Bloxham (Chairman & Co-founder of Urban Splash), Phil Jones (Director of Brother UK) and Jacqueline Gold (CEO of Ann Summers) alongside a number of thought leaders from the world of digital.
CrowdControlHQ has more than doubled in size over the past year and is enjoying accelerated growth as organisations across the UK wake up to both the risk and reward of social media. The company now services over 125 clients from a diverse array of sectors including public sector, finance, legal, public services such as police forces and hospitals as well as major household brands.
The Midlands based business is credited with being the first UK software to make the Forrester Wave 2014, Top 10 for social media risk management and compliance. Back in 2011 the business transformed the way police forces engaged with the public during the riots, later to find its sporting pedigree supporting TeamGB during London 2012.
With the tightening up of risk registers around social media and compliance dictating that social media management tools use UK data storage, whilst remaining compliant with UK law, CrowdControlHQ has rapidly become the UK’s leading provider of social media risk and compliance software for enterprise organisations.
James Leavesley, CEO of CrowdControlHQ said:
“We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted for software innovation of the year. The knowledge of the judging panel is immense so we are extremely proud that the efforts of our technical development team have been recognised. They have created and continue to innovate a piece of ground breaking software, that not only provides our customers with social media engagement tools, but also a host of UK control and compliance features, which sets us apart from the US market.”
The shortlist comes on the back of several announcements of client wins in recent weeks. It also follows a restructuring of the senior management team to drive business growth and the appointment of Marc Harris as Chief Technical Officer to drive the innovation of the software and growth of the development team.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 9th October, at the iconic Palace Hotel in the heart of Manchester City Centre.
